Samantha the manager was very rude , highly distasteful with this establishment! Will never return ill drive out my way to NEVER have to go too this establishment again
I went about an hour and a half before they closed and the teller said I had a fake id and he was supposed to confiscate it (which is against the law of course) or he’d call the cops if i wanted to keep it i told him to call the cops cause my id is of course real. he handed it back to me and basically told me to screw off. i went to mirage liquor just down the street and the teller, will, took my id and told me there wasn’t any reason it would be fake. id recommend not frequenting this store with how they treat you. and of course they are much more expensive than the stores down the street.
“Overpriced Selection and Lackluster Service at Fossil Creek Liquor”
I recently visited Fossil Creek Liquor for the first time in a while, and yet again left feeling quite disappointed. The most noticeable issue was the significant markup on their bottles. Prices were hiked up by 25-50% on selections that are easily found elsewhere, making it hard to justify a purchase. Furthermore, their selection lacked variety, especially in the bourbon section. There were also hardly any allocated or unique options available, which will be a letdown for someone seeking something special or different.
Another aspect that dampened the experience was the customer service and overall environment. The staff seemed perpetually stressed and gave off an unwelcoming vibe. I felt more like a burden than a valued customer, which is not the experience you want when visiting any store.
For those who have alternatives such as Specs, Total Wine, or even local mom-and-pop shops within a reasonable distance, I would recommend exploring those options. Based on my experience, you’re likely to find better prices, a more interesting selection, and a more pleasant shopping environment. Fossil Creek Liquor unfortunately doesn’t live up to the standards one would expect for a satisfying shopping experience.
Nice selection to choose from. Very friendly and informative staff. The staff is always ready to answer questions and help you find what you are looking for.
Great Selection of beer, seltzer and liquor! The sample guy from Bendt was the best!
It's a smaller store so selection isn't as great but what is there are good choices. I found all I needed and actually appreciated that i didn't have to wander through long aisles and a few thousand square feet of space. I liked that I could easily find what i wanted and checkout quickly. The staff was very warm and friendly. The young lady behind the counter even offered to carry my bag. That was so thoughtful for this old man who has limited mobility. I highly recommend Fossil Creek Liquor.
So this was the weirdest experience of my life. Went to buy 2 bottles. Asked for 2 specific brands. Was told they didn't have either. It would be a few weeks. I asked if there was a way that I could have my info and could get a call when it came in. Casually mentioned I was looking to buy these for gifts. The person behind the counter went on to tell me that the brand I asked for was normally only sold if you bought a bottle of something else. So you can't just buy a bottle of it, you have to buy multiple bottles to get it. And then she went to the back and miraculously produced one of the two I had asked for. Said she liked my reasoning for buying and that's why she decided to sell it to me and not to tell anyone where i got it. Idk what kind of scam they're running there, but it sounds illegal.
I went in here 3 weeks ago looking for Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey. Even though I walked past 3 employees, no one was interested in helping me. Should I have asked for help or should I have expected a higher level of customer service considering it's such a small store and lots of employees? I ended up going to a competitor that helped me within a minute of walking into their business and bought it there.
